Isaac 18 months

At Isaac's 18 month check up he was 27.5lb and 33 inches (Ana was 29lb and 33 inches).  It seems he has a lot more teeth than Ana did at this stage, including an extra (supernumary) tooth! It's hard to say though because he bites and chuckles any time you try to get in his mouth.  He is talking it up a storm, most of it babble. His teachers say they can't WAIT to understand what he is trying to tell them, because he talks and points to things all day long. Ana had a lot more formed words at this age, but I think Isaac actually talks more!  He loves to dance, and has some cool moves. He does a funny move where he sinks down low and waves his arm around between his legs. We thing he gets his dance skillz from his Daddy!  Apparently he is quite the card during circle time at school.  He is a genius with a ball. He has a powerful throw and amazing foot control! He still loves books. He also loves cars, trucks, boats, anything that moves really. He's a good eater, but still a lousy sleeper (like brother like sister). Speaking of Ana, he LOVES chasing her around and he imitates everything she does. They are adorable together :)

Camping

Last weekend we went camping and had a fabulous time. It was a lovely and relaxing end to a fantastic and relaxing summer!! (which I will catch up and blog about here soon).

We made a last minute decision to head to a campground near Mystic CT for labor day weekend. Traditionally the last hurrah of summer up here in New England. I had to work on Sat, so we just went Sunday to Monday. Two nights would have been great, but we managed to pack plenty of fun into just one!

Day Two

Monkey see, monkey do

Isaac is in a phase of copying everything we do, especially Ana! He is adorable. If we laugh, he laughs. If we raise our arms, he raises his arms. Toooo cute!

One of Isaac's teachers remarked the other day "This kid has an arm!"  I know we are incredibly biased, but his throwing prowess is amazing. He can launch a ball (or more typically a rock, a piece of his dinner, a phone) clear across a room!  So there we were thinking he was destined for baseball or American football, but then he dribbled a football across an entire pitch wide without losing control the other day! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!

We are really looking forward to Grandad coming to visit next month so he can play footie with Isaac :)
