Ana's first party

Ana was the special guest at a "finding out the gender/belated house-warming" party last week.

Mel soon took centre stage though :)

It's A Girl!!

We found out we are having a girl - eek. James of course knew this all along but I was in shock!
We are going to call her Ana Elizabeth Cooney Hutchinson.

Funny

So, I just found something I wrote the day I found out I was pregnant...

I took a test on Tuesday and there was the faintest of faint lines. I tested again on Thursday (at 3:35am) and another faint line, although darker than the first. I woke James up to tell him.

The conversation went like this...

Jazz: “We are having a baby”

James: “Rock on” (eyes still closed)

Jazz: “I’m too excited to sleep”

James: “I’m not”

Although this was a lie. I promptly passed out while James got up and investigated the power outage. He then came back and said “I can’t believe you can sleep knowing you are pregnant”. Huh – not so tough after all.

It is so weird to look back at that now!!

Dr. appointment

Had a good appointment today

Blood pressure 110/70
Weight gain so far= 4lb
Urine tests = good
Baby's heartbeat = 144bpm

Waiting on blood test results from the triple screen (screen for possible birth defects). Fingers crossed please!

We have the next ultrasound on 21st March - only 2 weeks until we can find out the gender - yay. Also, this means my sister will be here when we find out - double yay!

How fab are maternity jeans? They have a big stretchy bit out front! I think all jeans should be like this for cases where you eat too much, or your jeans just came out of the dryer and have shrunk!
