Isaac

Watch this and I swear you will be smiling like a goon at your computer. Go ahead, I'll wait.

He is so sweeeeeet! He's like this 90% of the time!

I tried to get a video of him rolling, but it was not to be. It takes serious strength to lift a head this big though. I'm so proud!

They call him MEGAMIND

Izee's head is getting so big, he reminds us of this guy!

2 month checkup

Isaac went for his 2 month check up today. The word of the day was "solid". First the nurse remarked "wow, that is a solid baby", then the Dr came in and said "He is so solid!" then apparently the Dr's and nurses were outside talking about how Isaac was "just as solid as they come". This is funny because "solid" is the word often used to describe Ana too. Aww, my little linebackers!

Anyhoo, he is 13lb 3oz and 23.5" (for reference Ana was 13lb and 23.5" at 2 months). He got his shots and was really brave. He screamed when they went in, but as soon as I picked him up he was smiling again.

There was a teeny 6 day old baby at the Dr's office today and I winced looking how small she was and how big Isaac looked by comparison. Time is going far too fast, I am already wishing for it to slow down. It's also hard to believe I had to put Ana in daycare at this age. I'm pretty sure I would quit my job before I put Isaac in daycare right now. Even thinking ahead to August when I go back to work is giving me palpitations :(

Everton fan....not

Grandad bought this for Ana when she was a baby (hence the pink) so I dug it out for Izee to wear. At first he seemed happy enough...

....then he figured out it was an Everton shirt, and he was not happy. Sorry Pinchy ;-)

** Update** Sorry Grandad, the shirt got pooped on this morning. I guess that seals it, he's a Liverpool fan :)

FSU Baby

Remember this? Unfortunately Isaac has already outgrown it! But here he is rocking the FSU onesie. He's ready to sign his letter of intent, Jimbo Fisher!

Game face! So serious!

Good Morning

Tickle Tickle

Ana making Isaac laugh! Love it.

Enjoying the weather

We'd had a lovely stretch of weather here this week. Spring has finally sprung and everywhere is covered in flowers and the temps are in the low 70's. As a comparison my friend just posted on Facebook it was 103 in Oxofrd. Ughhh.

So we've found a bike trail where we go for family walks. Ana rides her bike and the rest of us desperately try to keep up with her! I've been running and I am so slow that even Beek can keep up with me. James and Ana end up way ahead. Depressing!!

Last night we took a picnic to the local park, here are a couple of snappy snaps.

More Questions and Answers with Ana

What does your Mum like to do? Sleep

How old is your Mum? 44

What is your Mum’s favourite food? Ice cream

What is your favourite thing to do with Mum? Go to the park and feed the ducks

Why do you love your Mum? Because she takes me to the park and lets me feed the ducks, I love it when you take me shopping, I love it when you take me to the mall, I love it when you hug me and kiss me and I love it when I cook with you. That’s a lot of things.

Now ask me how much I care about you.

How much do you care about me?

A google thousand and one hundred

How old are you? 4

What is your favourtie colour? Red

What is your favourite food? Ice cream

What is your favourite game to play? The napping fruit game. Napping fruit game means you eat fruit and go straight to bed. That’s what my favorite game is.

Now I ask questions to you. How much do you care about me?

To the moon and back, moon and back, moon and back

How about to England and back? Cos England is further away than the moon I think.

Last one. What are the rules of this house?

  1. 1. Don’t hurt Daddy
  2. 2. Learn how to be a big sister
  3. 3. Learn how to sleep in my own room
  4. 4. Don’t bounce on your head
  5. 5. Don’t poop in Dad’s face. Don’t sit on his head either.

Best Mothers Day gift!

Ana made a little book for me at school. I love it! Her teacher wrote her answers to sentence stems and then Ana illustrated it. It might be hard to read since it's stapled. It says:

"Mom, I like it when you.... take me to the park"
"My favorite thing to do with you is .... hug you and kiss you"
"I make you smile when I ..... eat my healthy food"
"You are special because ..... you love me"

So sweet!! I love the idea of recording her answers to questions like this. I'm going to do some more this weekend as a memento!

James also spoiled me with flowers, Cadbury Mini Eggs (my fave) and an Amazon gift card. He knows me so well :)

Oh, and of course, THIS is the best mother's day gift ever....

Paternity Test

Little and Large

Two odd socks left over in the laundry. Guess who's?

Babbling

Eyezee has started to babble a bit. He doesn't seem as chatty as Ana (that will be a blessing in 4 years time) although I looked back through my blog and they seem about the same for this age.

Ignore my silly voice, and ignore the fact that I said he was 9 weeks old, he's 8 weeks. Apparently I've been a week off for a while now. Oooops!

Happy Royal Wedding Day

At school Ana learned about the wedding and she made a crown (that she did not take off for days) and coloured a picture. They also had tea and biscuits for a royal snack. She was very excited.
