Ana put Chelsea in time out yesterday! Ha ha! I went to collect her from daycare and her friend Chelsea was having a toddler meltdown. Ana walked over, stood over her with her hands on her hips, and barked: "Chelsea, go the the red (wed) chair!"
Her teacher, Ms Queenie, told me Ana is like the second teacher in that room. She keeps all the other kids in line. She orders them to pick up their toys and to stop crying and go to sleep.
At least I know it is not just me she bosses around!
This morning was just one example of many...she likes me to lie down and pretend to go to sleep so she can tuck me in with a blanket and pat my back. It goes a little something like this:
Ana: Mummy, go sleep
Me: I'm getting ready for work
Ana: Go sleep, Mummy
Me: Not right now sweetie
Ana: GO SLEEP (pointing at the floor)
Me: Um...no
Ana: Go SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP (wailing)
Me: (folding pathetically): Ok, I'll go to sleep
I lie on the floor and Ana straightens out the blanket over and over until it is perfectly straight then lays it across me. If I dare open my eyes while she is doing this she yells "GO SLEEP!!!!".
I finally get covered up. She rubs my back a couple of times and pats me until I'm all relaxed and actually almost sleeping and then she yells "WAKE UP MUMMY"
