Moving!!!!
I'm fairly sure everyone who reads this blog knows this, but we are moving to Massachusetts!! Yippee!!! I have a wonderful new job as Assistant Professor of Applied Exercise Science and Sport Studies at Springfield College. This past month or two has been a complete whirlwind and utterly chaotic. Now the real fun begins as we attempt to sell our house and haul our entire lives across the country (breathe in, breathe out)!!
Doesn't look that far on a map, right?

Needless to say our every spare moment (like we have many of those) is being spent selling our junk, fixing up our home, packing, finding a house in MA, researching preschools, etc, etc. Aghhhhhhhhhhhh!
There has been a lot of this type of activity (note the contrast between the green bit to the right that I didn't get to yet. Lovely).

Ana has been a real trooper because she has been stuck in front of a TV a lot. Sometimes she has been helping us, but that generally means she is slowing us down! When we work outside we let her loose with the hosepipe and paddling pool she seems to enjoy that.
We've also been pulling a bunch of old baby stuff out of the basement. We've sold a lot of it since there is no point in dragging it to Massachusetts. That has been emotionally really hard since I've obviously been saving it for Baby #2 who is still nowhere to be seen :( Ana loves playing with it though. She's been pretending to be a baby a lot. Can we say regression? Oh dear! Lol!

Busy Day
Today we had Ana's last soccer game, her dance recital and Miles' birthday party. Yes, I have become that mother who spends her weekend ferrying her kid around!!

Soccer!!!
Ana spent most of the game how she has spend most of the season. Clinging to Dad on the sideline, refusing to participate :(
Dance!!
I only have pictures of the dress rehearsal because there was a strict no camera policy for the actual performance. they were selling DVD's for $35 though. Um, no thanks! Ana was great in the performance though. James and I were soooooo proud. And of course she looked stunning!!
Here she is at dress rehearsal. So serious!! Believe it or not she was enjoying herself. She just takes her performance very seriously!

Quick snap this morning on the way to the big show!

Quick family pic before she went backstage. My big girl (sniff).

Before the dress rehearsal I picked her up and changed her at preschool so she was beyond excited to show her class her outfit. She even did her routine for them!! She was very excited about this!!
Party!!
She LOVED the Slip-n-slide! (who doesn't love a slip-n-slide?)

Your name is NOT Phillips
Ana told me she cannot wait to see Baby Mia. I tried to explain that Mia grew and she is not a baby anymore. Ana said "Oh, so what is her last name now then?" Apparently she thought her actual name was Baby Mia. I said Phillips and Ana protested that was her teddy bear's name and could not be Mia's name. I tried to explain that Teddy Bear was a gift from Mel and Smooth, hence his name, but it fell on deaf ears. She was not having it. So I asked Ana what she thought Mia's last name should be. Apparently is is Apple. Mia Apple. Because Ana loves apples. And because Mia has an apple head. Smooth's last name is Banana. How cool is that? Smooth Banana? LOL!!! We also have Mel Grapes, Nana Jam, and Grandad Pizza. He he!
